Omega's UPJ panel mounting sockets are unique in that they accept both miniature and standard size thermocouple plugs. The panel retaining clips are an integral part of the connector moulding so no additional mounting hardware is required, the sockets simply push into a 16.3 by 30.4 mm rectangular panel cut-out and lock into place. The UPJ sockets will mount into panels with a thickness from 1.2 to 4.8 mm.

For the user who requires the ability to quickly remove installed connectors, the SIRT-1 removal tool is invaluable. Operating easily even in densely packed panels, the tool compresses all spring clips together, allowing the UPJ to be pushed out of the panel from the rear.

The UPJ thermocouple sockets are available with K, J, T, N, E, R and S thermocouple alloys and also with uncompensated contacts, which are often used for Type B thermocouples or 2 wire RTD's. The sockets are colour coded and available in either IEC or ANSI colours.
